FAQ
Site Preparation

What do I need to put the spa on?

There are many options for installation, use your existing deck, patio, porch, or that room collecting undesirables.  We offer in home consultations to determine the best location for your new hot tub.  We will offer economical and easy solutions to make your hot tub fit your existing situation or create that new retreat you've been dreaming of.

Will you do the site preparation and/or electrical for us?

We work with fully licensed and insured electricians and contractors so that all you need to do is choose the model and we'll create your own personal retreat.  We will coordinate all details from start to finish.

What do I need to install for plumbing?

No plumbing is necessary, all of our hot tubs are considered portable in the sense that they are self-contained units that you simply fill and drain with a garden hose.

What type of drainage do I need?

No drainage is necessary.  Hot Spring spas have 100% bottom drainage with a garden hose fitting.  You simply attach a garden hose and run the length to an appropriate area for draining.  Minimal chemical usage will not affect the environment.  Chemicals will dissipate within twenty four hours prior to draining.

Do the wires come with the spa?

All 110 Volt spas include a fifteen foot cord (plan on ten feet, as some of this cord is used in the equipment compartment) that you plug in to a dedicated electric line installed by a licensed electrician.  Because all intallations are unique 220 Volt spas do not come with necessary wires.  220 Volt spas require a licensed electrician to install a dedicated electric line and all wires to spa location and the hot tub directly.

I've been told it's more economical to go 220 Volt, what's the difference?

Most of our spas are 220 Volt convertible.  This allows the heater and jets to run at the same time.  Typically, 110 Volt spas outdoors in the winter (in our area) will lose two to three degrees in approximately one hour.  While our studies have shown that 220 Volt spas cost more to run monthly, savings are minimal.  220 Volt allows both the heater and jets to run at the same time and heats the water four to six times as quickly as 110 Volt (~24 hours upon initial fill).  If you are unsure if you should convert your spa to 220V, you can always convert your spa later.

How can I make my new hot tub a part of my backyard?
